Workshop 1A: Faithful Stewards, Lasting Impact
Faithful Stewards: In this presentation, Amy talks about being good stewards of the gifts that the Lord has given each of us, as everything we have comes from Him. These gifts from God are a blessing to us in our lifetimes, but what about after we are gone? Have you considered how the gifts you’ve received throughout your life may be a blessing to others?
Lasting Impact: This overview presentation will get you thinking about the gifts you’ve received, and how your family, your heirs, AND ministry can all benefit from these gifts. In her role as Gift Planner, Amy works with you to help maximize the distribution of your estate to your heirs, using tools that will save on income and inheritance taxes, AND help you support the ministries that have been important to you throughout your lifetime. Through your legacy plans you can make a lasting and meaningful impact in this world.
Something to ponder – What’s the greatest possibility you can imagine God could do with your life story—now and beyond this life–that would bring joy and blessing to others?”
Please plan to attend this thought provoking discussion.
Amy’s work is a service provided to you at no charge by the ELCA Foundation. All that we have is a gift from God and we have an opportunity to use a service for planning that will help us be good stewards of all that we have received and maximize those gifts for family and ministry. Hope to see you there!
Workshop 2B: Narrative Budgeting
The Rev. Cassie Anderson

Narrative budgeting allows you to share the story of what God is up to in your faith community. Narrative Budgeting allow people to see how their gifts and offering support allow your congregation to live out your mission. Come discover tips and techniques for introducing Narrative Budgeting. Learn about resources and see examples of how to format a Narrative Budget. Walk away with an excitement to use a Narrative Budget to share the mission of your faith community.
Workshop 3C: Preaching a Love of Sharing
The Rev. Taryn Montgomery
From those first childhood tug-of-wars with siblings, the art of sharing has been a challenge for many. And yet, God created us to share with others! Truth be told, we kind of enjoy it. Drawing from her own experiences as a parent to three little people, Pastor Taryn Montgomery will help us explore the power of story-telling through preaching a Christian stewardship of sharing. How is God inviting us to share, and share again? How can our own experiences of generosity tell God’s story of generosity? Join us as we dive deeper into our own stories of giving, and how we can share those stories with others.
Workshop 4D: The “Why” and “How” of Annual Stewardship
The Rev. Chick Lane
Does your congregation have an annual stewardship program? If so, great. If not, you are probably missing an opportunity to help people grow in their giving and in their relationship both with your congregation and their Lord. This workshop will focus on why annual stewardship programs are important, and on practical ways to effectively conduct such programs in your congregation.
