The effective date of On-Leave from Call (OLC), if granted by the Synod Council, begins the day your last call ended. OLC status must be renewed annually by requesting continued OLC prior to the annual anniversary of the effective date you received OLC status. A rostered person wishing to continue OLC status beyond 3 years, must make such a request in writing a minimum of 6 months before the completion of 3 years OLC status. If you are requesting OLC beyond 3 years, you must also provide a statement laying out the reasons for your request and how those reasons relate to the ministry and mission of the church.
