Pastor Jon B. Olson grew up in West Fargo, North Dakota. After graduating from Minnesota State University, Moorhead, he earned his M.Div. at Luther Seminary in 1989. Pastor Jon has served the majority of his ordained ministry in the Northwestern Minnesota Synod, most recently at Hope Lutheran in Fergus Falls and with Lutheran Campus Ministry at MSUM. In addition to coordinating the First Call Theological Education program in the Northwestern Minnesota and Eastern North Dakota Synods, Pastor Jon work with with the Candidacy process in the NW MN Synod. He also serves as a consultant with Capital Campaign Services Net, leading capital appeals for congregations throughout the United States.
Pastor Jon is the father of twin daughters, Danielle and Jessica. He lives on Long Lake north of Fergus Falls. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming, travel, and reading.
