Report from the April 2013 ELCA Church Council Meeting
Christ is Risen! Alleluia. I just back from my fourth ELCA Church Council meeting and wanted to share some of the highlights with you. All of our meetings are framed with worship and times for prayer and dwelling in the Word. The treasurer of the ELCA, Pastor Linda Norman, was the preacher during Sunday morning worship. We have a treasurer who can really preach and make all the numbers add up! She will be our ELCA Churchwide representative at the NWMN Synod Assembly in June. [...]

A Thanks-Giving for Quilters at First Lutheran, Middle River
First Lutheran completed 99 quilts this year, including 3 quilts for graduating seniors, one for the fundraising raffle and some for emergencies in the community. There were quilts that went to the homeless shelter in Grand Forks and the rest will go to LWR. [...]

Paraments Available
Free: Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead is in the process of replacing its paraments and is looking for a good home for the former textiles. Each set has the altar cover, a banner for the pulpit, and a stole for the pastor. These ‘vintage’ paraments are originally from the 1970s.
